My site was hacked (found a bunch of spam in my footer.php).
My fault - I didn't upgrade to the latest v. of WP.
But now I've changed my password and no matter how many times I try I can't get on to my admin page. I've had the new password emailed to me numerous times and none of them seem to work.
Could this be related to the hacking? And if so, what should I do?

Tried all of the above strategies, including the emergency.php script.
Nothing worked. Still unable to log on to my admin page.

I have had this happen to me a few times, more than I care to admit.
Log in to your MySql and clear the password field from your user/admin id.
Make sure your email address is ok.
Then use the lost password routine on the log in page.

Tried that too. Numerous times.
Too late. I've backed up my database and am deleting wp and starting over from scratch. This really sux. Suffice it to say I've learned my lesson about security and being a more responsible webmaster.
