My site has been hacked and I will probably ditch it but I want to rescue the html content if possible. Where would I locate this in cpanel? I see there is an html editor but I don't know where to find the html pages.
Thanks

WordPress does not normally use HTML pages. It keeps the content in database records and creates the HTML on the fly. You should be able to back up your database using the cPanel tools.
However, it will not be easy to restore just the page contents as there are many related tables that hold page information.
You should contact your hosting service to see if they can restore a good backup for your site.
Thanks for you reply. I have now managed to find the offending index.php file and fix it. It seems a little too easy though. My hosting service wants to charge $50 to restore the database and I hope not to have to do that.
