Recently took site live and it went crazy. It was functioning, but I have been having trouble with my host and finally it just crashed.

Site comes up, but the theme is all messed up and nothing works correctly. I tried disabling plugins, but that didn’t fix it. I even restored my site to when it was working, and no dice.

Any help would be appreciated. I am running it from a subdirectory with a index.php on the www/htdocs

  • Have you asked your host if the server is working?

Have you deactivated that theme (via Cpanel or FTP if need be)?

The server is working because it comes up again, but it is still all messed up.

If I deactivate the theme, will I lose the customizations I made if they are not supported by the other theme? Will it switch back on if I reactivate it?

Theme settings/options are stored in the database, so you should have those when you switch back. Changing themes is standard troubleshooting.

It does the same thing in the new theme

I keep getting a 503 error and it shutting down, so is it likely a server/host issue with not enough bandwith or memory?

Yes, that’s what I get too. I think you need to talk to the host. Do they meet the WP requirements?

Yes. They just provide terrible hosting. I am going to encourage my client to move to bluehost or someone else.

    Thank you for your help.
