Site down but still receiving emails

    Hello,

    First let me say that this is by far the best WordPress plugin that I use. Security on websites is very important and your plugin is at the top of the list.

    My concern is that I am receiving emails telling me that my site is still receiving hack attempts even though I took the site down and removed WordPress.

    A user with IP address 31.6.71.94 has been locked out from the signing in or using the password recovery form for the following reason: Used an invalid username ‘admin’ to try to sign in.

    Example URL: http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=Wordfence

    How could this be?

    Could you help figure this out.
