site down because of wordpress upgrade

    i tried to upgrade to the wordpress version as above 2 days ago. the window closed while it was upgrading. i now have no website but an error message; ‘Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wp_convert_bytes_to_hr() (previously declared in D:\Hosting\10526198\html\wp-includes\deprecated.php:3364) in D:\Hosting\10526198\html\wp-includes\media.php on line 1146’ the website host claims the wordpress upgrade is incompatible with a wordpress plug-in (???). last time my site went down because of wordpress, my host was able to fix it – this time they can’t. is there someone who can help with this or should i consider alternatives to wordpress. cheers

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
