   Hi, I was fiddling with the settings in my new site and tried adding www. to my URL instead of http://mysite.co.uk now I cannot access my wp-login or view my site! please help!!

   Change the urls back. See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this.

   Hey, thanks for your reply. I had tried that but when I now click on the settings menu I get directed to a site telling my the website is not available or doesn't exist.

   Update: I can no longer even get to my dashboard!

   Please re-read the page at the link in my post above. None of the solutions in that page require you to login to your WordPress dashboard.

   Ok, I've tried the editing wp-config and function.php options and now I get this message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/hjhought/public_html/wp-config.php on line 47

   Have I completely messed this up? My site was only partially built, if I uninstall word press and reinstall it will that help?

   Remove your additions to the wp-config.php file and just try the functions.php method.

   Ok, I have deleted what I added the wp-config.php and am stil getting the message from my last post. ???

    Yes, I have now reinstalled wordpress and can access my dashboard. If I want my site to be http://www.mysite.co.uk instead of http://mysite.co.uk do I add www. to wordpress address or site address?

    No. You have to change the site urls using the same method as outlined in Changing_The_Site_URL.

    Have tried to access my site again today and can no longer access it or the dashboard. I have tried both the editing wp-config.php and functions.php with no luck. The site currently loads on my Android phone, but not on an iPhone or my laptop. Any ideas?

    Have you cleared all caches, cookies and histories on the iPhone and laptop? What's the URL?

    I had tried that, it didn't help. Although I have just refreshed the page without making any other alterations and can now access my dashboard. Still having trouble adding www. to my site URL though.

    My site still seems to disappear temporarily, I haven't tried to edit anything this afternoon and I can no longer access hjhoughton.co.uk or wp-admin.

    I am now getting a log in page for my php, although I haven't edited or changed anything, so not sure why this is happening.
