   Hello,

   I'm trying to figure out a way so that when someone creates a new site (we are using the wordpress 3.0.1 multi site feature), we do the following:

   1. the new site form provides a list of categories to select from
   2. the new site will have those categories the user selected applied to the new site
   3. the site user admin will not be able to create categories in his/her site

   Thoughts?

   Is there existing functionality (either native to WP 3 multisite feature) or does anyone know of plugin(s) that can help support this?

   I've searched for plugins and haven't found any, but it's possible I'm not looking for the right thing.

   to hide the category stuff:
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/menus/ (disable the menu item)

   and i think this has default categories:
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpmu-new-blog-defaults/
