Can someone take a look at my wife’s website – http://www.anniecrawford.com

It breaks in Opera. I really wouldn’t care but someone specifically asked so I thought I would look into it. The scrollbar just diappears, and I don’t have any fancy CSS scrollbar stuff that I am aware of (I believe it was deprecated a while back). The site works in both IE 6/7 and Firefox.

I started with another theme but basically ended up doing 99% of it from scratch.

  • Looks fine in Opera 9 beta 2 (checked with windows and xubuntu linux). Scrollbar is definitely there.

What version of opera was the person having issues using?

It was on windows, and I assume it was 8.5 which I think is the latest mass released version.

I downloaded 8.5 onto my computer at work and saw the same problem. I will try it now on my home PC.

How close is Opera 9 to being released? I don’t really want to spend a whole lot of time on this if it will be upgraded for the masses soon.

9 is to be released either this week or early next week.

At least, I believe I read that this weekend. Darned if I can find a date at the Opera.com site though.

[edit: possibly tomorrow based on a forum thread I just stumbled over]
