Single Product Shortcode Not Parsing

    Hi,

    I am using MarketPress Lite 2.5.1 and would like to begin with a big thank you to all the developers’ great work. I’ve now tried several WP e-commerce solutions and MarketPress is by far the best.

    My only remaining issue is that whenever I use a single product shortcode, the shortcode itself (rather than the products) appears on the page. For instance, users might see this: [mp_product product_id=”1″ title=”1″ content=”full” image=”single” meta=”1″]

    On an unrelated note, I have a question about the premium version and future upgrades that I posted in an old support thread. I’ll post it here as well (below), in case someone from WPMU has a chance to address it.

    Hi, WPMUDEV,

    I am using MarketPress for a non-profit and we can’t afford to pay anything monthly but we would like the ability to export orders to CSV.

    This feature is in the premium version of MarketPress but I’m afraid we won’t be able to upgrade to future versions (even of the Lite version), without losing the ability to export. That is, if we buy MarketPress premium but do not renew the monthly support plan (which cannot afford and don’t need for our very basic use), will we be able to update MarketPress without losing the Export to CSV feature?

    Hi Ben

    Are you yousing the visual or html editor when adding the shortcodes to the page. Try it via the HTML tab.

    Regarding the marketpress premium drop me a line at contact@incsub.com
    mark it for my attention and add a link to this post and i will see what i can come up with for you.

    Hi Tom,

    I did actually enter the shortcodes on the “text” tab, not using the visual editor. The codes work fine to pull categories but not for any single products. Any ideas?

    To anyone who may read this thread: wanted to compliment the developer on his outstanding support. He really went above and beyond to provide us with a resolution. We were able to get single product shortcodes working and could not be happier with MarketPress!

    If you are considering an ecommerce solution that integrates directly into WP, look no further. We tested a whole bunch and MarketPress is way better than the rest, both in terms of features and support.

    so, single product is supported on the Lite version? i don’t see it among the shortcodes, neither the shortcode works anyway (2.5.1 Lite)

    Not sure if I am understanding this correctly… (or perhaps I have the wrong thread)
    Is it possible to use MarketPress plugin (lite or paid version) to sell a single download to one specific customer (one custom digital product created specifically for that user) and not show that product to other users/customers?
