The ical file is not working properly with 5.52 or even on the demo site http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/events/molly-hatchet-2014-01-03/. The file that is created only has 4 lines.

This effects the placeholders or just going directly to /event.ics

This is the contents of the ical from the demo site.

    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    VERSION:2.0
    PRODID:-//wp-events-plugin.com//5.5211//EN
    END:VCALENDAR

I have tested this with no other plugins enabled and am still getting this problem.

How are you testing / viewing the file? It's rendering ok for me in Google Calendar. Thanks.

The Google Calendar link works which means the Google Calendar will work. It is the iCal link that is not working.

I download this file http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/events/molly-hatchet-2014-01-03/ical/ and get the 4 line file you see above when I open the file with Notepad. This is an invalid ical file which does not open in Outlook or iCal.

On our website I was getting the same thing.

there might be an issue with that event and will check on that; however, it worked on this http://demo.wp-events-plugin.com/events/josh-groban-2014-04-29/ical

Ok, I had this happening on my test site for all the events. I have since switched to a Google Calendar since we really only want the calendar and not the events side of things, but I wanted to report the issue so that it might be fixed for others.
