simply loop with query

    Hi,
    whats wrong with my query?

    <?php
$posts = query_posts($query_string . '&cat=-10');
while(have_posts()) : the_post(); update_post_caches($posts);

    When i add “$posts = query_posts($query_string . ‘&cat=-10’);” everything broke, pagination not work, link on meniu and news also.
