SimpleModal Contact Form Display Issue in IE8 (5 posts)

    Hi all.

I have the SimpleModal Contact Form (smcf) installed (WordPress 3 site) and working properly in Firfox and Chrome, but in IE8, it doesn't expand/drop down. A space of about 30 or 40 vertical pixels appears, and you can see there's content in there, but the form container doesn't expand at all. You can see what I mean here in IE8, and if you like, you can check it out in firefox to see the difference.

The weird thing is that I have the same version of SMCF (1.2.6) running in another WP site, and it functions normally in all browsers. This would usually lead me to believe it's conflicting with another plugin at the site in question, but I've deactivated/reactived all of them, and nothing changed.

Any ideas from anyone who's using SMCF or might have had this problem? Perhaps Mr. Martin himself will make an appearance?
    Thanks!

The site displays correctly in IE8 for me. Looks just like it does in FF.

Besides the site name, there are some errors, http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3a%2f%2fhistoricbarackobama.com%2f

Ha ha, kmessinger, the domain is a test site; the whole thing will be transferred soon to the real address.

So you mean, when you click contact, the contact form drops down and appears normal? Hmm, I've tried this in IE8 on two different machines, and it didn't work in either. This is the only issue I was referring to, but thanks for pointing out the other errors; I'll definitely have a look. Wow, only 12 errors?! I'm getting better, I guess, lol.

The contact works fine in IE8 and IE7.

km, thanks very much for taking the time. It's good to hear that, but I remain confused as to why it's not appearing for me correctly on two different computers in IE8. Are these things ever connectivity-related? I'm in Germany, and our connection leaves a lot to be desired. Seems strange, though.

Thanks again for having a look!

    Eric
