• After I activated the simple pop up I received the following error message:

    Warning: require_once(/home2/stefanj8/public_html/wp-admin/includes/internal-linking.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/stefanj8/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-popup/sp-options.php on line 16

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home2/stefanj8/public_html/wp-admin/includes/internal-linking.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php’) in /home2/stefanj8/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-popup/sp-options.php on line 16

    I am now unable to do anything on my site as every time I try to log in, I get that error message.

  • using ftp deactivate simple-popup by renaming or deleting the plugin and then try to log in .

    I tried doing that. Originally I activated the plug in through my dashboard, not through my ftp site. I’ve tried going in and adding the file to my ftp site and the same thing is happening.

    I’ve also tried re-uploading my entire site, minus the plugin and I receive the same error message.

    I am confused what you mean by ftp site as ftp is a program to log on server and transfer files.

    Did browse to wp-content/plugins in there you will find simple-popup rename that folder to say simple-popup_hold

    using ftp rename the theme you using so that twenty ten opens and see if you can log in .

    The internal linking feature is not available in older versions of WordPress i.e you are getting an error, please upgrade to the latest version You’ll not receive these errors.Thanks
