• Hello!

I’m developing admin panels for end-customers, many of them don’t have any tech knowledge, so I’m trying to make everything as simple as possible 🙂

    I’m currently stuck at MENUS!

I need a user-friendly interface, easy to use and intuitive. I’ve been trying to adapt this plugin here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/menu-manager/

Because of it’s live menu positioning system, but it won’t work on 3.4.2, only up to 2.9.2 =/

So, I basically could use a great help on two things:

    • Help to build the simpliest menu management possible
    • Or, adapt the script above to work on 3.4.2, and I’ll do the rest and post here 🙂

  • What’s wrong with the menu builder that’s built into WordPress core? From my understanding, the menu builder that WP integrated was a result of the various plugins that were used. It’s pretty simple and easy to use.

I normally just record a screencast showing clients how to modify the menu.

    Hello Christine!

I’ll be selling mass websites for cheap prices, I’m brazilian, many ppl who’s gonna use them have pretty limited computer knowledge, so I can’t afford to have anything too complicated… I’ve already stripped up a lot of the menu functions, and I’m left with this:

What I want to change in it:

    • Disable submenus
    • Fix drag-and-drop to work in horizontal (or disable it and sort order by a text box like “Order: 0”
    • Set the two postbox from the bottom side by side, and 50% width each

    wp-admin/includes/nav-menu.php http://pastebin.com/PZtbKRMm
    wp-admin/css/wp-admin.css http://pastebin.com/ykYtM7py

If you can help with any of these items, I would be extremely glad 🙂
