That’s an error coming from Facebook. It’s something to do with your FB application. You might want to check its configuration here:
    http://www.facebook.com/developers/apps.php

I’m getting this too. I even created a new application and changed all the ID and keys and it still says I’m not an admin of the page. I’m the only admin! I even noticed on FB that I could add myself as an admin of the page again – so I did – and still the problem persists.

This is crazy, crazy stuff. I’ve now added a friend to be another admin of the FB page so he could delete me, then re-add me as an admin in hopes the API recognizes me as a page admin. I’ve deactivated and reactived the plugin. I’ve associated my WP Admin Profile with my FB profile.

I have this SFC Publish plugin working properly on 3 or 4 other blogs and I’ve matched up the app’s settings to those on the apps that work properly.

Yet STILL the API is not recognizing me as an admin of this one particular FB page and the plugin won’t allow me to publish to it. For the record, it is allowing me to publish to my own profile.

The only thing I can possibly think of is that might somehow be causing an issue is the FB page in question is “old.” And by old, I mean the summer of 2008. The ID# is “17406131934”. Perhaps something with only 11 digits is not recognized by the API? I really have no idea what I’m talking about, but it’s the only difference between it and the other blogs that this is working for.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Please?

One problem that somebody encountered recently happened when they happened to use the new “Use Facebook as Page” feature. If you use that, then you won’t be logged in as you anymore, you’ll be logged in as the Page. And this makes the manual publishing buttons not work for as long as you’re logged in as the Page. Make sure that you switch back to being logged in as you for the manual publishing buttons to work.

This should not impact the automatic publishing functionality, as long as you set it up while logged in as *you*.

There is also a new setting for Admins that you might want to check on. In the Page, click the Edit Info link at the top. On the Your Settings tab, there’s a link that says “Always comment and post on your page as PageName”. I have that checked on mine. Not sure if it matters, but that should be checked for things to work…

    Thanks for the response….
Made sure of all that, too, though. Tried it both ways, in fact. The dialogue box actually lets you know you’re not logged in to publish to a page anyway.

i have the checkbox unchecked. Trying now…

OH HHHHhoHhhh my god, that did it.

I can’t believe it! You’d think, if the API wants to know you’re the admin, you shouldn’t be posting as the page. WOW.

Well, there ya go. That did it. I suppose the other pages I have are still working because I didn’t upgrade them to the new FB Page admin system.

    Thanks, Otto. Yoooooooooouuu da man!

Topic Resolved. (for me, at least)

Figured out the problem I was having same issue.. turns out I put the wrong fanpage id # in the setting in SFC….

how can you see the fanpage id# is good?
