[resolved] Simple edit to pages widget? (7 posts)

    It seems like a simple thing that I'm just not sure how to do. I would like to edit the pages widget so that on my sidebar it only displays the page links and NOT the actual "pages" title to the sidebar..

    Check the site to see what I am talking about - matthewadamdesign.com
    I want to remove the red "pages"

    I would also like to know how to remove/replace the "powered by WordPress..." at the footer, and replace it with my own footer

    Thanks

    Consider downloading and installing Otto's PHP Code Widget, then something like this code in one of those widgets:

    <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=' ); ?>

    Look at your theme's footer.php for the powered by code and delete it. If you can't find it, get http://wingrep.com and search for that.

    Got the footer problem taken care of, but it wasn't in the footer.php file. I had been looking there for a while. It was in the credits.php file in the app folder of the theme

    The other problem, not really onto tackling that yet but I'll figure it out.
    I don't if this will get a response but I'll try regardless. I erased some of my pages and forgot how to assign my blog to only one of my pages, any tip on that again?

    Seems like the "pages" title on the sidebar is existent in every theme, meaning it's not a theme based item. Does anyone out there have a direct path to it's location in the other php files on a typical wrodpress installed server? Otherwise I'm going to be digging around for hours trying to fin this little bit..
