• I am trying to change the background color of my page (using kubrick, the default is grey). I read another post in which it said that i should go into images and change the actual image background (kubrickbgcolor.jpg, kubrickbg.jpg). I changed it to plain white and uploaded it, but i didn’t see the change in the blog. Can anyone help so i’m not banging my head against the table in an hour? Thanks.

  • Have you cleared your browser cache and reloaded?

    What’s the blog URL?

We’re testing the blog now so i don’t want to give out a URL (sorry), but i tried clearing the browser cache and that didn’t work. Any other suggestions you can give to me? Thanks.

Well, without being able to look at the site, the only other thing I can suggest is 1) make sure you uploaded it to the correct place, and 2) try calling the images directly in the browser.

/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickbg.jpg and see if it pulls up the correct image.

It did pull up the correct image, where it was changed to all white (on both kubrickbg.jpg and kubrickbgcolor.jpg), but the blog background still remains grey. Do i need to change the style sheet or something like that? Thanks again.

If you renamed the image files, then you will have to edit the header.php file. If you didn’t rename the image files, then you shouldn’t have to edit anything.

And the images were uploaded to /images in the default theme directory?

Ok, so i figured out what happened. I deleted some of the header code because i didn’t want the blue box at the top, and also because i didn’t know that the kubrickbg.jpg code was in the header. So when i replaced it with the original, everything was all set. thanks for all your help.
