Similar difficulty with drop box

    Hi,

    I’m new to wordpress. I have been testing your GDE plugin and I almost seem to get it working.

    I embedded this code:

    [gview file=”https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/cuw23mo14b0gki8/Similarities.doc”%5D

    and I get this response:

    “You’ve reached the bandwidth limit for viewing or downloading files that aren’t in Google Docs format. Please try again later.
    You can also try to download the original document by clicking here.”

    I initially was using the address provided by dropbox but I got code rendering in the box. Then I read your post about tyring to find the authentic URL for the document and got the address above.

    The file will download but it won’t render on the page and I’m not sure what to try next.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    One more thing…

    This is the code that generates a box with HTML:

    [gview file=”https://www.dropbox.com/s/cuw23mo14b0gki8/Similarities.doc”%5D

    Also the message can sometimes be:

    “Sorry, we are unable to generate a view of the document at this time.”

    instead of the bandwidth message above.

    Kudos to you for reading the other support threads. You’re on the right track. I’m not sure if you’re a heavy Google Docs user but you might try logging out of your Google account (or open in a different browser where you’re not logged in). Then if the issue is resolved you may be able to log back in and still have it working properly.
