Side Matter
[resolved] Sidenotes are doubling (5 posts)

The plugin is excellent, I really like it.

But I am having a strange issue: I am building a website (offline..) using the Pinboard theme. The side notes double. If I have 3 notes they all appear at the right spot but after the last (3rd) one all of the three are added immediately under the last (3rd) one as sidenotes 4, 5 and 6.

This problem only arrises in Posts. But not in Pages.

Any Idea why this is happening?

xammamax - that is very strange indeed; thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've done some poking around in the Pinboard templates today, and it appears the culprit lies somewhere in the code for a Pinterest social bookmark (of all things).

Anyway, I've found an easy solution. Go to your Pinboard Theme Options page, then scroll down to "Single Posts" and uncheck "Pinterest." (The other Social Bookmarks are still fine to use.) On my end, at least, this resolves the problem completely.

    Hope this works for you!

I know this is an old post, but I just attempted to install this plugin on the most recent version of WordPress, with very few plugins, and I'm having this same double-listing problem. Any solutions?

bbolman, it might be your caching plugin (they occasionally produce weird problems like this). Otherwise, a good approach is to disable your plugins one by one to determine which, if any, is your culprit. If no plugin is at fault, there may be an odd theme issue, as with the theme discussed above.
