   For one of my sites, no matter which theme I use, the Widgets page displays only the list of widgets but not the sidebars to which to drag them. Just the same, the site itself displays the sidebars I defined in the past.
   Any ideas?

   OK, I found the problem. I had in the past downloaded and installed the Genesis theme, and even after I deleted the theme a plugin remained which screwed everything up. Once I deleted the plugin, all is fine.
