Are you sure you edited the correct sidebar.php file? Are you using any caching plugins?
I edited the sidebar.php that is in the root folder, which had all the content that is showing now, so i assume so.. and i just searched the theme folder and there isnt any other sidebar files. And not using any plugins :/..

Root folder of what? How are you amending the file? Via Appearance->Editor or using FTP?
Like as soon as you log in , theres a whole list of files and sidebar.php is one of them .. I edited it using wordpad and uploaded it via the file manager, i have posted the code http://wordpress.pastebin.com/9w73ivfm if thats any help
Check the name of the theme in the dropdown at the top of that page.
