I copied the existing code and removed a line from the code before copying it. But hitting update file all my remaining data disappeared. Because I copied the original code I went ahead and placed it back into the file. But hitting update file the file would update without my data. For the life of me I dont understand why???
Please is there anyone who could shed some light on this matter?

I should probably add I copied and paste the original code into a word file...
Don't use Word or anything other than a plain text editor when editing any theme files.

Thanks. I kinda figured I shouldn't do just that. I was nonetheless able to fix the issue. Seemed like the Word file didn't space " ' as what plain text editor would have done. And to think that issue was in the first line. That'll teach me!
