    Hi! I’m trying to make a sidebar show up with all pages, basically everywhere, including my static front page, but I can’t seem to make the sidebar appear anywhere.

    I’ve tried several settings but haven’t seen the sidebar appear anywhere.

    I’m using the Duster theme and there are no other plugins.

    Any help would be awesome!

    Hi,

    Can you tell me the exact settings you have used for your sidebar?

    Thanks for replying! Right now I have it checked to display on the front page. Like this: http://i.imgur.com/Ijas8NC.jpg

    I’ve also tried setting it to display on each individual page, as well as both the front page and the individual pages together, as well as leaving the condition group empty which I read would make the sidebar show up everywhere, but I haven’t been able to make it appear at any place yet.

    Have you selected the right Host sidebar to replace under the chosen conditions?

    I think so! I have it set up to replace the main sidebar, like so:

    If you want the sidebar to be displayed with both the front page and specific pages, you should do so with two different groups for each content type. That the sidebar does not appear even if a group is empty is a problem though.

    Does the created sidebar show up in the Appearance > Widgets screen? And have you checked that the mentioned pages does not use a “Full-width” template or similar?

    The sidebar does indeed appear in the widgets screen.

    I’m not sure what a full-width template would be, but I do know that all of my pages are using the Default Template.

    I have now tested the Duster theme, and it seems that by default, Pages do not include a sidebar.

    You can solve this by using the Page Template “Showcase Template” or by editing page.php in your theme by replacing:

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    with

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Unfortunately, switching to Showcase Template resulted in no change, and the Editor solution caused the sidebar to be squished down into the footer.

    But since it seems this is a conflict between Duster and the plugin, I decided to ditch the theme and go with a different one, and now the sidebar is showing up just fine. Thanks for the help, it’s appreciated!
