    Hello,

Anyone tried installing the sidebar widgets plugin for wordpress ?
    http://automattic.com/code/widgets/

I did, followed the instructions from their website, but I don't get the Sidebar Editor tab inside my wordpress - presentation screen ! ( I do see that the plugin is installed and active, I even downloaded new themes that suppose to be compatible )

Anybody any luck with this ?

Here is a good site that let's you see what it should be... http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2006/03/10/playing-with-wordpresscom-new-sidebar-widgets/

But I'm not able to get this Sad

You must switch your blog's theme to a widgets enabled theme for the sidebar tab to even show up under the presentation bit. Or you need to modify your current theme to be widgets compatible. Either way.

I though the default theme and/or K2 were widgets enabled? I have tried with both these themes and can't get widgets to show up!

Look in your theme's functions.php file. If it has a "register_sidebars" or "register_sidebar" line in there somewhere, then it's widgets enabled.

  5. When you download the widgets plugin, it has the needed file changes there for both the classic and the default theme to become widget enabled.
