[resolved] sidebar widgets not showing (6 posts)

Using the default theme, I have added widgets to the main sidebar and showcase sidebar but do not see them show up when I visit pages. The theme is configured with the first of the 3 options, content on left, sidebar on right in the theme options. Its not a browser issue because I added the page links to the footer and they showed up but still no sidebar.

What else can I do to make that thing show up?

I just thought of one change I did do - I set a static page to the front page. maybe they only show up next to the wp loop?

I set it to show the wp loop on the front page and there are my sidebar panels!

Going to leave it like this for now ( so I can work on the sibebar content ) .. but I want to return to having a static front page when I am done, so I am still interested in how I can set it so that the right column show up no matter if its a static page or the loop displaying.

I ended up resolving this issue in another thread in case anyone finds this first:
