• Can anyone tell me the proper css format to get a background color sidebar widget?

[CSS code moderated per forum guidelines – just post a link to your site]

that is my current code. you can see i want a border-radius around the entire widget, but my code puts a border radius on both the h4 and the content of the widget. So it looks like 2 bubbles sitting on top of one another.

    Thanks!

  • Impossible to say without seeing the site live…

I have it installed locally and not in a live site at the moment. I see my code is now removed due to guidelines. It clearly states to put code between ticks, which I have done.

The problem was probably that you posted more than ten lines of code…

Also that CSS code is visible on a site — obviously in your case, not, but that’s the assumption generally.

It really is almost impossible to help with CSS issues when the site is not visible — so not much anyone can do with local site.

The best way to work with CSS is by using a tool like Firebug which helps you see which CSS code you need to change to affect specific elements on a page.
