• I just upgrade my wordpress using fantastico to 2.2.1. However, I now find that some postings were displayed from top of the left hand sidebar, even though I don’t have asides nor did I do any coding to the sidebars, just the default.

I have already activated the disable sidebar widget plugin and I even tried disabled all my plugins, but the result is still the same.

    Can anyone help?

    my site is at http://www.saltwetfish.net

    Thanks

  • It looks like you’re running K2 theme — is it a current version? Might want to get the latest and see if that helps.

I have put my theme to the WordPress default, kubrick and I have the same problem.

Please have a look, I have set the theme to the wordpress default one

The default theme seems to work fine (have you cleared your browser’s cache?).

As such, I’d be back to suggesting you check for a K2 update. 🙂

    Handy,

You are right, I fired up IE and it looks okay even with the K2 themes… strange, never thought cache could cause corruption like that!

Hmmm…. I am a bit confused, I have waited one day and clear all my cache in my firefox, but I am still seeing some topics being posted onto the sidebar, whereas in IE this does not happen. Does wordpress response different to different browsers?

This happens even if I change the themes between wordpress default and the k2 theme, could that have still been a cache problem? Strange… Did you manage to see a “good” version with your firefox browser?

opps… too fast, I seem to have found the problem. I set the number of post to show to 20 and some how the last few entries wraps up to the continue at the sidebar. I have testing reducing the number, it seems like at 17 blogs, I am still okay, but when put 18, the wrap up starts…. and this happens only in my firefox, not ie… even weirder.
