Sidebar not showing correctly in IE 7/8 (7 posts)

    Hi there,

    I'm almost ready with a new website ( http://em.keurigonline46.nl/ ). Everything is working fine however the righthand sidebar looks wider in older Internet Explorer versions. The right sidebar goes outside of the content borders and that is not what I want obviously. I'm using the Woothemes theme Canvas and I've altered the look and feel of the sidebars using the custom.css file. This is what it looks like:

    Who can help me with the right CSS tweaks to solve this problem?

    Best regards, Erwin

    You need to contact your theme's vendors.

    Dear Andrew (and others),
    Off course I already did that. They suggested to also give it a try on the WordPress forum. That's why I'm here. So a little help is more than welcome!

    First make sure you can resolve these validation errors by yourself or with the help of your theme's vendors. We cannot help with that.

    We can help with CSS stuff, yes.

    Oke. I've issued the validation errors to my vendor. Can you now help me with the CSS stuff? Thx!

    Because you're dealing with old versions of IE, it is imperative that all validation errors are first resolved.

    All are gone, but one. Could you give me a suggestion for where to find the solution to get rid of this error as well? This one still stands:

    Line 97, Column 64: Bad value X-UA-Compatible for attribute http-equiv on element meta.
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1" />
