    Hey,

    For some reason I can't find where in the code it is that my sidebar got messed up on my index.php page. When viewing singe posts, the sidebar aligns perfectly.

    Here is my index.php code:

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    	<?php if(!is_paged()) { ?>

    	<div id="top" class="clearfloat">

    		<!-- <div id="headline">
    		<img src="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/wp-content/themes/arthemia/images/headline.png" width="75px" height="21px" alt="" />
    		<?php query_posts("showposts=1&category_name=Headline"); ?>
    		<?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>

    	<div class="title"><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark"><?php the_title(); ?></a></div>
    	<div class="meta">[<?php the_time('j M Y') ?> | <?php comments_popup_link('No Comment', 'One Comment', '% Comments');?> | <?php if(function_exists('the_views')) { the_views(); } ?>]</div>
    	<?php $values = get_post_custom_values("Headline");?>
     	<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>">
    <img src="<?php echo bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/scripts/timthumb.php?src=<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/<?php

    Please don't post huge chunks of code here. For larger blocks of code, use the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. It makes life easier for everyone.In cases like this, all that's initially needed is a description of the problem and the site url.

    You have a missing closing </div>. Possibly at the end of #top.

    esmi, my apologies for the large chunk of code. Thank you for the advise on the missing </div>...I'm off to look for it now.

    I found the missing </div> that was breaking up the code...so there no longer is any white space breaking up the grey background...but now i need to find why the sidebar is sitting at the bottom instead of the top.

    Try adding float:left; to #front-list in style.css.
