  • I had this same problem, too, until I went into the settings and hit the Update Settings button. (see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/update-to-2141-problems?replies=6). WP Dashboard > Settings > Page Sidebar Settings. Then click click “Update Settings”.

    Hi Amy & manakuke,

    Let me know if you’re still having this issue after you re-save settings.

    Cheers,
    Eric

    I just installed the plugin and it does not replace the sidebar. I’ve tried updating the settings and that to does not work unless I refresh the page but then the sidebar is changed on all pages. If I hit the refresh button once again, the sidebar changes to the prior sidebar and so on.

    Here’s is my site address: http:ww/sdcheetahs.com

    I would appreciate any assistance possible. I’m donating my time to build this site for a non-profit youth organization and I would really like to help them so that they don’t have to go out and hire a web designer.

    Much Thanks,

    Jess

    Have you set the Main Sidebar and Home Page ID under Admin > Settings > Page Sidebar Settings?

    If not, try that and let me know how it works.

    If that doesn’t work, can you let me know what theme you’re using?

    I did set the sidebar settings and it still doesn’t override the settings. It only changes if you refresh the screen and then defaults back to the theme settings.

    The theme is the “Atletica” theme from SMThemes (The Smart Magazine Themes)

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey jmedranosd,

    Would you be able to quickly switch to the default Twenty Twelve or Twenty Eleven theme to see if you still see the same behavior? That’ll tell us if something in the theme itself is interfering.

    You might also try disabling other plugins to see if the behavior persists.

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Hi

    The plugin doesnt work on my site either. I use Clarity theme from Trusttheme and I cant get any of these dynamic sidebar plugins to work and I dont really know what I do wrong. I want to have different sidebars on my contact page. What I might have done wrong is the id. I have changed the perma inks on my site under settings to be the name instead of the number. Could this affect anything? How is the line suppose to look lie? Like this?:

    page_id=13

    It would be so nice if you could give me a quick reply. I tried so many different plugins and I just seem to be super stupid because I just can make them work 🙁

    Thansk a lot
    Kind regards Anne from Sweden

    Hi Anne,

    I’m not familiar with Clarity theme, so it’s possible that they have some code interfering.

    I have changed the perma inks on my site under settings to be the name instead of the number. Could this affect anything? How is the line suppose to look lie? Like this?:

    page_id=13

    I’d recommend Pretty Permalinks – you can use postname or month/year/postname – whatever you like; just not the default, non-Pretty Permalinks.

    What are your settings under /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=page-sidebar-settings? Did you set home page and main sidebar?
