Sidebar has problems on homepage

I am super new to wordpress and I have taken over a site from someone else. I can usually find out how to fix issues via the wordpress support forums, but am having trouble with this specific issue. My sidebar on my homepage is showing previous posts, almost like a continuation from the main part of the page. If you click on a direct link the sidebar is in tact, its just when you go directly to the homepage. I have tried to deactivate and reactivate my plugins, but nothing is working – any help? the site is https://allromancereviews.com
