    Please go easy on a girl who used to design with tables. I'm making my first WordPress site and just learning CSS too. You can find my site here. I'm having a problem with my sidebar which I would like to stretch my layout so that it can sit inside. It's pretty much just hanging out of it now. I have the layout height to 100% so that it will stretch with the text but it's not working with the sidebar. I've tried different positioning but it either ends up on the other side of the site or in the layout but not in the fixed position I want it to be in. You can study my horrible css here.

    I also have another problem because of my sidebar. So if you could please answer one more question. How do I create a custom style sheet so that some content will fill the whole width of the page? I would like to integrate my bbpress forum and a gallery.

    I have the layout height to 100% so that it will stretch with the text but it's not working with the sidebar.

    Try the following css. Add inside your themes's style.css (Admin > Design > Theme Editor > style.css).

    #content{height:auto; min-height:320px}
    * html #content{height: 320px }

    I'm still having issues with my sidebar. While the last code did wonders to keep the sidebar in the page, now if content inside the sidebar where to grow it will stretch beyond the sidebar. I'll need the sidebar content to stretch the sidebar just like the page content stretches the page. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    I figured out my second problem. The one with the custom style sheet. I'll post how I fixed it here just in case anyone else will need to know. What I did was create a second header file called customheader.php. Then I created a second css file called custom.css. I changed it so that the customheader.php file called custom.css. I then created a custom.php template based off of page.php, got rid of the sidebar and called my customheader.php file like this: <?php include ('customheader.php'); ?>

    It completely worked! You can check out the results in Gallery. Next stop is bbpress integration. Now if only I can figure out my problem with the sidebar not stretching. I figured out the second problem, can someone help me with the first?
