I would like to associate my sidebar to all posts belonging to a specific category. I tried to select the spceific category in the sidebar settings but the sidebar didn’t show up!

Do you select any other rules than that specific category? I assume that you have read my answers in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-content-aware-sidebars-sidebar-under-category-post

yes.i had selected the posts rule.now i have uncheck it and everything works fine.thanks
