   Just ported my blog to a self-hosted site from WP.com and picked a new theme - TwentyEleven. The desired sidebar widgets display just fine on the main page, but if I click on an individual post or a secondary page, they disappear.

   I'm unable to tell if this is a feature of TwentyEleven or whether I've done something to bollock things up. I've activated other themes, and the sidebar stays where I want it, but I would prefer to adjust my chosen theme.

   I have been blogging for a couple of years but know very little HTML or PHPm so please, be gentle with me when suggesting fixes! Help is much appreciated.

   It is a feature of Twenty Eleven.

   There are quite a few child themes & plugins for Twenty Eleven now that you might be able to use to modify the theme without creating a child theme yourself.
