sidebar content that reflects category of main post area–possible?

In the individual post display, I’d really like to have the sidebar show a list of posts in the same category. Like this — http://theslowroad.org/wp/blog/2009/02/28/market-day-in-guatemala/ — only changing to reflect the posts category (currently, the same list displays with all posts).
Can I do this? How?
