• Full disclosure – I am not a developer, I do work study at a yoga studio and have inherited the website that I have been updating. My understanding of all of this is very basic so I apologize if I’m explaining myself well.
Ok: We use Ajax event calendar we have a sidebar widget (I think) that pulls from that to display ‘Today’s Events’ ie what classes are happening that day. Seemingly out of nowhere the events displayed skipped ahead to show what is happening days later. This was first noticed on Thurs Nov 21 when the ‘today’s events’ started showing Nov27 events. I don’t think we changed anything, this just seemed to change. I’m not sure what to do. I have been getting an alert about a problem with ‘magic_quotes’ and I followed it to this page and I think added that code to the right place. But I don’t even think this is related. Can anyone point me in a good direction? Thank you very very very much!

    Here’s some more info.

In the site dashboard if I go to appearance — widgets– it lists ‘AEC Events Calendar’ as an available widget. Then it says “This widget has been replaced by the [eventlist] shortcode, read the documentation for details! “
(I’m not sure if this is a change, or if this has been like this for the duration of me using the site.)
Then on the right there is the sidebar box and it lists Future Events. When I click on that it just says “[eventlist limit=6]”. I know that this is where I can control the appearance of the widget, because I tested it and changed the name from Today’s Events to Future Events, and changed the limit to 7 (and back to 6). However I don’t understand where the ‘eventlist’ code is; where else could I control where it is pulling from? Also when it says “read the documentation for details”, where would I find that?
