Sidebar Ads not appearing unless in single post mode (8 posts)

    Hi,
When I initially go to any of my subdomains, the posts appear in a list that can be scrolled. In that "list" mode, none of my sidebar ads show up. Only when I click on a particular post, where it appears as a single post only, do my sidebar ads finally show up.
Is this typical behavior for a WP blog? And can I change it to where the sidebar ads show up regardless of whether I'm in the "list" mode or "single" mode?
Here's a link to one of my subdomains, so you can see the behavior:

Is this also typical of Amazon ads too? I have both on my page.

    alchymyth,
Yes, I am using a sidebar widget for my ads. The widget is from a software product I bought.

Sorry, I missed the part of your question regarding plugins. Yes, the software that I mentioned is in the form of a plugin.
