I upgraded to 2.7 on one site and it went swimmingly. It went so well that I decided to upgrade another site before upgrading my main site. And it disappeared. Completely! Typing in the url produces a white page and nothing else.

I've already been struggling with the last upgrade that found me unable to log into my main site from any browser but Firefox, so you know I'm gunshy with WordPress upgrades. Can anyone help?

I just realized what I did. I neglected to deactivate the plugins. Now what can I do to fix this?

I copied the plugins file and deleted it off of the server and replaced it with the generic plugins folder. So now it's displaying again. I'm copying the old plugins back one by one, but it won't let me log into my admin area now. So I have it back (albeit coomplete), but can't log in.
Each and every WordPress upgrade has caused me grief in one way or another. This is no exception.
