Is there a way to put a links/categories on a side bar for every page or just the blog page? If so, please tell me how! Thanks much.

Try using the Category and/or Links widgets in Appearance -> Widgets.

Thank you, sorry for the butting in on another topic.

I’m still not sure how to apply it a particular page, other than the blog page.

What theme are you using? Site url?

Theme is Twenty Eleven 1.3, site is not up yet

That theme only shows a sidebar on blog (post listing) pages. Posts and static Pages do not have a sidebar. Perhaps you need to look for another theme?
