Shrinking sidebar and widening page content (2 posts)

    I've purchased the Blue Diamond theme for my site http://www.keystotheIB.com and I would like to shrink the Sidebar and widen the main content area on the pages. You can see a page with left sidebar here http://keystotheib.com/assessments/extended-essay/get-help-with-your-ee/

    I managed to shrink the left sidebar (I think) by editing the sidebar-left.php file and changing this line of code:

    echo "<div class='three columns mb0 gdl-left-sidebar'>";

    It used to say "four columns" but I changed it to "three columns" and that seemed to shrink the sidebar to a manageable size. The problem now is that the space that was formerly taken up by the sidebar is still not being used by the main page content (there is just white space where the large sidebar used to be).

    How can I increase the page content size to fill where the large sidebar used to be?
    Is my method of modifying the Sidebar size correct or will I run into problems with it?

    Thanks in advance!

    You can contact your theme's vendors regarding this. We don't support commercial themes.
