   Hi, I'm brand new to WordPress. I am trying to figure out what setting I need to turn on to show post authors (ie. a post will say who the author is automatically). I can't figure out where to turn this on (or if such an option actually exists!).

   I ask because I have a blog with 5 different "authors". I want to be able to tell at a glance who is the author of each post. Thanks!

   You just need to add the author tag to your template wherever you want the info to appear.
   <?php the_author(); ?>

   Just use the proper template tag in your template(s) where you want the author's name to appear:
   the_author
