Showing multiple specific posts (4 posts)

I'm attempting to show multiple (possibly consecutive, *not* in the same category) posts on one page, and had assumed that would be possible with WordPress.

Here's what I want to do: I'd like to be able to show posts starting and stopping at an arbritrary number on a blog I'm creating.

For example, if there are 50 posts, 12 categories, then I would want to show posts 12 through 35.

I thought that was possible using a parameter as part of the URL (for example, http://example.com/?p=12-35 or http://example.com/?p=12&p=35). However, I've not been able to find a way to make this work.

Is there a way to do what I want?

If so, could someone point me in the right direction, and/or let me know if I'm looking at the wrong feature?

    Thanks...

This is where I need to learn more about PHP. Can you do a greater than or less than within an if...else?

Assuming you can somehow, you could use this tag within that loop to accomplish what you want.

Looks like Podz answered this on irc://irc.freenode.net/wordpress by suggesting to use monthly archives.

Yep, Podz answered it (I learned about the IRC channel after posting, sorry).

For my purposes, monthly archives would work, but I may work on getting the URL based option to work as well.
