    Hello,

    I have an question or feature request. I use the plugin and I like it very much.

    I have created a site, with all galleries and albums, like http://album.blackseals.net. Every year, there is a new album, like http://galerie.blackseals.net/albumliste/ng/jahr-2013/. You find there galleries with descriptions. If I open a gallery, then I only see pictures without description (I mean description from gallery).

    Therefore my question: is it possible to show gallery with description - first description and then all pictures (or only XY with several pages).

    Please for answer

    @Andyt8 - I would suggest linking the galleries to a page (Link to page option) where you can add an appropriate description then when you click on the gallery preview image in the album it will open that page with the gallery and its custom text.

    You could probably work up a custom template to add the gallery description as well.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer with the page. It sounds interessting... In this case, I need a page for every gallery?

    Better sounds the custom template (because less work with extra page), but until now I'm not able to create one which add gallery description.

    I found some websites with "How to Custom NextGen Gallery Template", but it looks like that was written for 1.9.x.

    Are there any helping text?

    regards, Andyt

    We do have this article: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/templates/ that may help with more information on templates.

    We really do not offer a lot of support for custom templates but I imagine (without testing) that you would be looking at adding something along the lines of the following to your custom template to display the description:

    <?php echo $gallery->description; ?>

    It worked perfect for me! Thanks a lot!

    As example my usage in a different project: Link 1
    or Link 2 .
