    Hi there,

I just copied over your shortcode into my local WP, and it works perfectly for me.. Maybe there's more going on. Are you using any plugins that may influence the posts query? If so, try disabling those plugins one by one to see if it makes a difference (it's a pain.. I know).

Also, make sure the page id for the post parent is correct, and check in the 'Text' tab of your editor that there's no HTML tags inside the shortcode.

Let me know if the problem persists!

many thanks for your swift reply
I have repeated the tests you suggest with the same result - I turned off all the plugins apart from wp-tiles, i checked the post_parent is correct with the same result. Could it be a theme issue? (I'm using a child on catch everest theme.)

    Hi again,

I think it's very unlikely that it's a theme issue.. but of course it could. You could browse your website using a different theme using 'Live Preview'. In WP Admin, go to Appearance, and look for the link 'Live Preview' under available themes (that are not activated) and see if the problem still occurs.

If it does.. can you send a link to your website? Maybe there'll be a hint there somewhere!
