Show second level menu in template (7 posts)

    Hello,

I'm working on a site with WP3 beta2 and I want to use the menu feature.

I'm calling in header.php the wp_nav_menu function and works great, but the menu is at the bottom of the page, and I want to show in another part of the template the SECOND MENU LEVEL.

When I'm in the main item menu page, post, category or custom type I want to see the secondary level.

Hope I have explained myself clearly.

Your help is really appreciated in advance.

    Thank you.

I have the same problem. I would like to see the subnavigation of the active parent in the sidebar. I can do that with "wp_list_pages", but in that case you have to build up the menu hierarchy twice (in pages and menus). I guess that it should be possible with "wp_nav_menu".

    Any clues?

    Hello Chinmoy,
Thank you for the plugin suggestion.
However, I would like to fix this within the templates, without using a plugin.

Anyone knows how to do this?

This seems to be an essential missing feature of the new menu!
