Show only certain Categories? | WordPress.org

Is it possible to show only categories with a certain ID in the cat listing?

I ask since i would like to show subcats in a different place on my navigation, and not along with the other parent cats.

Help is appreciated!

Yep, you can do it! You would have to call just the categories you want to list – you can find the tags to use in the Codex at http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/list_cats or http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags (in case you want other options.) Hope that helps!

Ahhh brilliant, hence I can just exclude the categories I don’t want and leave the ones I do want and call the list_cats twice.

Duh, why didn’t I think of that!
