Set the And/Or options to be OR publish to fan wall.
hi steve, thanks for the response. my bad, i should have indicated what i already had selected.
on post pages, the wordbooker settings say posts will be published on my personal page OR on my fan page, which i think sounds right. then i have "publish post to facebook" and "facebook status update text" checked, and nothing else.
on the blog-level settings, it says posts will be published on my page, and i have checked default publish post, update facebook status, and publish posts by non wordbooker users (as i sometimes have guest writers)
on user-level settings, it says same as blog, same as blog, then instead of personal wall, hit fan page.
Turn off Status Update - that always posts a short message on your personal wall (basically the text of the Update Status line plus a link)
OK, i'll uncheck "update facebook status" in blog level settings and give that a whirl! thanks, steve! :)
Wow, sure didn't work for me. Still getting posts publishing to my personal status EVERY SINGLE TIME.
There are WAY TOO MANY if/then, and/or variations with this plugin.
Peter - ten you must have AND/OR set to AND.
Version 2 changes the publishing options to make it easier - but you might like to know that other people want MORE options.
So if I want it to only publish to the fan page and not my personal account I choose "AND"? That sounds like publishing in two different pages.
I finally figured out that unchecking "Facebook Status Update text" (below the post, not WB's settings) is what I needed to turn off the publishing to my personal page. Didn't find that intuitive as I would have assumed the status update was for the fan page, not me personally.
No you set it to OR and set the second target to be your fan wall if you only want to publish to your fan wall.
Status updates can only apply to personal walls.
