Show daily events in widget that changes automatically

Greetings, I have recurring events that happen on each day of the week. I am looking to have a widget that on Sunday shows all Sunday events (I’ve created categories by days of the week), and on Monday automatically shows Monday’s events, and so on. How to best approach this?
