   I’m a newbie to multisite best practices, and I want to make sure I plan my site correctly. Can you tell me if this is possible with a Multisite Network?

   Here’s what I have in mind:

   Main Parent Site
   Child Site 1
   Child Site 2
   Child Site 3
   etc...

   Create a few Custom Post Types:
   Resources
   Documents
   Events

   On the Main Parent Site, be able to show:
   All Resources from all Child Sites
   All Documents from all Child Sites
   All Events from all Child Sites

   Seems like it should be easy, right? But I can’t find any documentation on how one might go about displaying/aggregating content from across the network. Is it even possibile?

   Show front end or show back end?

   Back end no can do.

   FRONT end, MAYBE http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags/ (I don't know if it grabs CPTs)

   I did come across that plugin, but it looks like it only works with Pages and Posts, not Custom Post Types.

   It seems like this would be a popular feature request from multisite admins, and I'm surprised not to find an existing solution. I could be wrong, or maybe I'm just not looking the the right place? :)

   Although it would be awesome to find a plugin that already does this for me, I wonder if there is any chance I might be able to do build this myself with some php and elbow grease?

   You could probably fork the plugin (or maybe ask Ron and Andrea nicely).

   There's a filter built in to grab them.

   So in short, yes it's possible and yes you missed it. ;)
