So I know that color swatches can be shown on an individual product page.

But I would like to display swatches on the product overview pages. Like, on this page - http://flatsome.uxthemes.com/product-category/shoes/ (not my website) - if a pair of shoes comes in four colors, then the swatches would be visible.

Working example: http://www.shopbop.com/clothing-tops/br/v=1/2534374302060562.htm (not wp or woocommerce)

Is this possible with WooCommerce? (I'm helping my girlfriend restart her clothing line; I'm an experienced front-end dev, but I don't yet have experience with e-commerce. We just don't want to shell out the cash for a theme, and commit to WooCommerce, until we know they support certain features!) Thanks!!

Also i want to know if this is possible, or there is a plugin for this, even paid plugin.

There's an extension for this: Variation Swatches and Photos.

Btw you'll most likely eventually have to shell out for a theme.

i know these plugins. They are not displaying the color swatches on category pages like blueskies said. These are for filtering the produscts, not displaying on archive page the avaiable colors...

I need the same functionality - I purchased the plugin mentioned but it does not do this. It just replaces the drop down list with an image or color swatch rather than showing the plain text. It does not allow you to show the swatches on the catalogue page.

Anyone have any ideas... I have been searching for days!

Has there been any update to this?
I saw someone on the freelancer having to make a project bid for this to exist.
Is there an actual plugin or step-by-step instruction to have this added?

I would love to see the option to have the swatches at the category/archive level as well!

Ive been searching this for two days now. I'm surprised there is no free way to show the color swatches on the product page. The woocommerce plugin is $99 and there is no alternative!
